Visits with Friends

This Saturday our friends Shad, Jonna and Caroline visited us.  Caroline and I were randomly matched as roommates our freshman year at Bradley and have been friends since.  We met Jonna our sophomore year and the 3 of us (along with Jenny and Kathy) had soooo much fun together throughout college.  I wish we all lived closer so we could get together more often.  Shad and Jonna's daughter Evie is 9 months older than Alyvia and their little boy Nolan is 5 months older than Colson.

Everybody got here around lunch time.  Livi and I had ran errands in the morning and picked up some yummy Avanti's gondolas to have for lunch.  We ate and visited and then we took the kids outside to the pools.

The Parkers brought the sprinkler ball!  The girls kept running by it and saying "drink the water!!"
(The adults may or may not have started a drinking game each time they said that phrase, I can't rightly say)

The kids played outside for about 2 hours while the adults sat under the canopy and got to visit-it was so great!  We NEVER get to relax with friends like that and we have missed it!  After playing outside, we came in and started to get dinner ready.  Alan grilled burgers and hot dogs and we had pasta salad and corn on the cob-DELICIOUS!!  We all just hung out around our house the whole afternoon and evening and have a great time together.

Alyvia just loves Caroline!  Caroline is such a good sport and plays whatever Livi wants.  Livi told Caroline she has to come over more often!

Before everybody left, all the kids changed into their jammies to have a 'pajama party'!  We turned on music and the girls danced around before Evie had to leave :)

Alan and I agreed that we need to do this more often, I only wish it was as easily done as said.  It was a great day spent with friends though and hopefully we'll see them all again soon!
