The Carnival Came to Town!

Last weekend was Princeville's annual Heritage Days.  My kids love the carnival!  This was the 1st year that Colson really understood what it was, but he joined Alyvia full force for the fun!  Thursday evening was the first night.  Alyvia did a cheer camp on Tuesday and Wednesday with the highschool cheerleaders.  They performed a couple cheers and a dance Thursday evening.  Livi did a great job!

Our friends Kristin and Lizzie came up to watch Liv and have some fun too!  After Livi's performance, we headed to the rides!  The cars are Colson's favorite :)

The girls did the "Super Slide"
Cole said he wanted to do the roller coaster with the big girls....after it was over he said "too fass, too fass", poor guy.

This beautiful babe was just along for the ride and she was such a good girl.  We keep saying we hit the "baby jackpot" with her!

Kristin took all the kids on the Tilt-A-Whirl.....I would have been sick for days if I had to ride!

And then Aunt Kristin took them all on the Merry-Go-Round.  Again, sickly mommy can't handle the spinning...

We skipped the festivities on Friday, but went back up for the parade on Saturday afternoon.  We snagged more than our fair share of candy and rode some more rides.  Livi got her face painted, but Kendall wasn't really feeling the heat that day so I missed a pic :(

The kids already miss the carnival and are talking about "next year"....we better start saving now!

Wedding Weekend Bonanzas!

We haven't been invited to more than one or two weddings a year for many years now.  This June we have 3, three weekends in a row....and Alan and I are in one of them!

It started off the weekend of the 8th with my friend Brittany's wedding.  We celebrated at the Kickapoo Creek Winery and it was a beautiful wedding.  Lots of fun with friends!

This past weekend was my brother-in-laws wedding in Chicago.  I worked Tuesday, Wednesday and then we left Thursday-ahhh, craziness!  Alyvia and I did pedicures with the Cowser girls on Thursday morning, we went home and packed and then left right after noon.  Thursday evening was the rehearsal and dinner at The Snuggery-yummy, good bar food!

A little before 3 the trolley picked us up and we headed to the church!  Poor Colson was having a hard time because he couldn't go with Mommy & Daddy :(  Nana & Papa helped us out so much and shuttled the kids around all day!  They sure looked cute!
My other beauty

It was a full Catholic mass so it was a long ceremony, but very nice and we are happy to have Liz be an official part of our family now!

After the ceremony we did some pictures and then the trolley took the wedding party to a park and the reception.

The reception was held at The Beau Jolie-BEAUTIFUL!  The reception didn't start until 7, so all the kids were tired, but they did so good and had lots of fun!

Alan, Reagan & Alyvia dancing!  Too fast for my camera :)

Next weekend we have my cousin Shannon's wedding and that will wrap it up!  It's been crazy this month!

Kendall is 7 months old!

7 months!  This sweet baby girl is getting so big.  She is honestly the happiest baby...90% of the time :)  She is sleeping so well and sleeping in her crib, finally!  After Livi got done with school, "Operation move baby into her own bed" began.  She did so well.  We had to "plug her in" (with her pacifier) a couple of times around 4 in the morning, but now she is sleeping 10 to 12 hours a night!  Yay Kendall!
She has finally figured out eating too.  She now eats fruit & rice cereal for breakfast, fruit & veggies for lunch and a baby food dinner & rice cereal for dinner.  She has bottles before nap and bedtime too.  She has a hard time eating when she's not home.  In a restaurant, forget it!  Way too much to see to spend time eating :)   She has grown like a bad weed the last 2 months too.  She now wears 6-9 month clothes and some of her 6 month clothes are getting too small :(  I think she wears a size 2-3 shoe, but she really never wears shoes yet!

Miss Kendall love toys and she will sit on the floor with a pile of toys or her play mat and just occupy herself for quite awhile.  She definitely plays with toys a lot more than Livi or Cole did.  She still doesn't like to be on her tummy much, so I don't see crawling in her near future!  Mommy's o.k. with that though ;)

Kendall, you truly are the sweetest girl and we love you so much!  I'm so curious as to how you will be when you get older.  I hope you are still our laid back & super loving baby girl!  We love you so much!

My Poor Neglected Blog :(

It's so hard to blog these days!  I have so much stuff I want to write down and not forget, but apparently we are too busy-ha!  I am so stinking tired by the time the kids are in bed, I have no energy to even blog.  But, I can play catch up, so here goes....

On May 19th Anne, Lindsey, Amanda and I ran in the inaugural River City Marathon Relay.  It was a beatiful, sunny and HUMID day!  I ran the 2nd leg of the race and went 6.9 miles in about an hour and 20 minutes.  I was good until about mile 5 and then I thought I might throw up....but I didn't :)  Poor Anne ran the last leg, 7.1 miles in the heat of the day :(  We all ran the last 0.3 miles together and finished our marathon in under 5 hours!

Alyvia had her last day of school as a kindergartener...

We celebrated Memorial Day by just looking our cutest :)

The first weekend in June was Alyvia's dance recital.  I was terribly nervous being a first time "dance mom". There were so many rules and instructions on how exactly the girls were supposed to look!  It ended up going great though, it was obvious this wasn't the studios first "rodeo".  Alyvia did her ballet dance first to "A Whole New World" from Aladdin.

Then we had to do a costume and hair change for her sassy tap dance to "Personality".

Rehearsal night was great so we were prepared the night of the actual recital.   Alyvia was a little nervous before and after the first dance, but once we found each other after her performance she was good to go for the rest of the night! Uncle Chris, Aunt Anne, Finn, Uncle Shane and Lindsey came and watched on rehearsal night.

Aunt Lindsey used to dance at Kim's too & gave Livi flowers after her performances!

The morning of recital night was Alyvia's first t-ball game too!

Little brother was excited to go cheer sister on....until we got there, then he wanted to go home!

She hit the ball every time up!
That afternoon we went to Shannon's bridal shower and then it was recital time!

Mehala, Mekaya, Kaitlyn, Ilah, Ava, Alyvia, Morgan

Emily, Ni, Kaitlyn & Alyvia
Nana, Papa, Mamaw and Daddy were there for recital night.

Daddy and Mamaw both gave Livi flowers after her show!

Alyvia was so excited after the recital.  She is set on doing dance again next year!  And more catching up for my next post!
