Here Comes The Bride

One of my best friends, Caroline, got married the weekend after Christmas.  Livi and I were so excited when she asked us both to be a part of her wedding day!  Caroline and I met our freshman year of college when we were paired as roommates.  It couldn't have been more perfect, we've been friends for more than 16 years!  While in school, we met Kathy, Jonna and Jenny and the 5 of us became insperable throughout school.  I love these girls!  Jonna and Jenny both have girls who are the same age as Alyvia.  All 3 girls were asked to be flower girls for the wedding.

We started celebrating Friday evening at the rehearsal and then dinner at Weaver Ridge, a local golf club.

I have so much in common with both of these girls and I love them so much.  It makes me sad that they live 2-3 hours away from us :(  Whenever we get together, no matter how long it has been, they are the kind of friends that you pick right up where you left off from.  I miss them just thinking about it.  Our girls are such good friends too and always get along so well when they see each other!

Alyvia and Addy (poor Evie didn't feel good Friday night and fell asleep)
Caroline got the girls gifts for being a part of the wedding and we were all surprised by how awesome the gifts were!

Each flower girl got a "Caroline" American Girl doll
We got up bright and early Saturday morning to get ready for the big wedding day!  I did Alyvia and Addy's hair at our house.
This girlie has a lot of hair!
Then we met up with the rest of the bridal party at Caroline's parents house

Sweet friends
Alyvia walked down the aisle with the 4th flower girl, little Ella.  She is the grooms niece and she just turned 2 recently.  She was trying so hard to be like the big girls :)  Livi did such a good job guiding Ella down the aisle and making sure she got to her grandparents at the end.

It was the end of December and the temperature was in the upper 30's and sunny!  It couldn't have been better weather for the time of year.

The wedding party rode on a trolley to the reception.  The poor girls almost fell asleep on the way there!

When we got to the reception site, the little girls were starving.  So Alan stopped at McDonalds and rescued them :)
Mmmmm, chicken nuggets!
The reception venue was a country club and it was decorated so cute.  They brought in couches for a lounge feel on either side of the dance floor, so fun!  And they had a band for the music and they were super fun.  It was such a fun weekend celebrating!

The little girls loved the party!  They had so much fun dancing to the band!

I wish I had a picture of the bride and groom.  I guess when you have kids in the wedding, they take precedence!  We had so much fun celebrating their wedding day and we wish Caroline and her new husband Jim, the best for their future together <3

Merry Christmas 2013

We celebrated our whole Christmas on Christmas eve this year.  It was a busy, busy day full of family!  We left milk and cookies out for Santa the night before (poor baby K was too tired to join).

The next morning it was hard to keep these kids on the stairs and not rushing down them!

When we let them come down, everyone was excited to see that Santa had arrived!  All 3 kids got new bikes!

We opened the rest of our stockings, santa presents and family gifts too.

The Little Mermaid for Baby K

Despicable Me 2!

You can't see, but he's opening his new John Deere Action movie!

We try to limit our spending each year, but it's so much fun to see the kids so excited on Christmas morning!  We love seeing their happy faces when they get what they asked Santa for!  After we opened presents, we got ready to go to Mamaw and Papaw's house.  We got there right at Kendall's naptime, she was a little unsure for about the first hour...so this was our best attempt at a family picture!

We got the kids to go upstairs and eat brunch with us, but immediately after we were finished, back downstairs we went!
Kinsley, Colson, Alyvia, Rylie, Reagan-crazy wound up for Christmas!
Uncle Adam getting them even more riled up!

I love family get togethers with all of us!  The kids are SO much fun right now!  Wild and crazy yes,  BUT, they are so joyful it's hard not to love it :)  They love each other too and I love seeing them together.
Counsin Love <3
After a couple hours at Mamaw and Papaw's house, we headed home to get ready for church.  Kendall was supposed to take a nap too....but she decided otherwise :(  We headed to church with my mom and dad and then to their house to celebrate with my family.

Oh my Finny <3  Look at those beautiful eyes (and ignore the goose egg on his head, crazy boy!).  He's so happy and sweet.
Such a man in his suit and tie

Oh my Colson, at least he's looking at the camera :)

Colson LOVED his Jake book from Aunt Anne & Un Cha

We ate dinner and "wrapped up" our night...ha, ha, ha!  Alan and the kids went to his cousin's house Christmas day while I worked.  I was a little sad that I didn't get to spend the day with them, but mostly thankful that I could spend a whole day with both our families.  Merry Christmas 2013 everyone, I hope yours was as blessed as ours.
