This weekend we went to Arlington Heights for my cousin Amy's wedding. The kids and I left Friday afternoon and rode up with Nana and Papa because Daddy was farming. This was the first time I took the kids to a hotel by myself, and shockingly, it didn't go terribly. Livi slept great! Cole finally fell asleep around 10 pm (after I threatened to make him sleep on the floor), but poor kid has been fighting a cold so he was up every couple of hours coughing. He really did pretty good though. Daddy came up on Saturday afternoon with Un Cha and Finnegan. We got ready and headed to the wedding that evening. It was at Arlington race track and it was a really neat place!
Cole missed the ceremony-he wasn't being bad, just loud :) Unfortunately, the wedding was late and Colson was tired....a bad combination. Poor kid just couldn't hack it with being sick and up late :( He did manage to eat most of his chocolate horseshoe favor....
We were trying to stay so Alyvia could dance, but Cole started coughing, gagged and got sick.....all over me. We had to leave immediately. I felt so bad for Alyvia, she just wanted to dance at the reception. She was so good about it though, very understanding and didn't whine about it at all. I've been so proud of her attitude lately. We went back to the hotel and Cole fell asleep about 5 minutes after he put his head down :) We drove back home today. It was a busy weekend, but I'm glad we got to celebrate Amy and Patryk's wedding-congratulations!

It's Homecoming week at Princeville! After we picked up Livi from school today, we went to the homecoming parade in town.

My friend Emma had a cook out at her house tonight too-so we decided to be social and head over there after the parade! Colson had fun playing with Liam's power wheel toys!
And Livi had lots of fun hanging out with one of her besties, Lizzie :)

We had such a fun night at Emma's, we just wish daddy could have joined us. We hope Daddy will be done with harvest soon so we can all hang out together!

Manic Monday
This is what Colson and I are going to be up to every Monday for the next 4 weeks...
We have Non-Stress Tests (NST) scheduled twice weekly until the end of October. Colson was such a good boy. We took lots of books and tractors for him to play with. Baby girl so kindly cooperated and we didn't have to stay quite the whole hour :) Hopefully big brother is as good every time as he was today!
After my doctors appointment, we picked up sister from school early to take her to a doctors appointment. Livi has always had a very sensitive stomach, but it's been bothering her a lot lately. So we went to see her doctor today. He isn't too worried, but he did order some lab work and an abdominal x-ray-mostly to pacify this crazy mom probably! After the pediatrician appointment, we headed over to the hospital to get the labs and x-ray done.
Alyvia was a super star for her labs! They took 4 tubes of blood and she barely flinched. She was very proud of herself :) Her x-ray was no big deal to her either-such a brave 5 year old! Little brother was so so so good through all of the doctors appointments and waiting too, so proud of both my kids today!
We left the hospital and hurried over to dance class for Livi. It was a big day and we were tired when we got home. The next few weeks are really busy before baby girl gets here...but hopefully not as crazy as today!
UPDATE: Alyvia's doctor called and all of her results came back normal, so relieved!

A trip to the zoo!
For Cowser family lunch today we ate at Avanti's and then we went to the zoo! It was a beautiful day to be outside!
The animals were all out because it was so nice outside! What a great way to spend part of our day before the work week starts again!

32 weeks!
I am 31 6/7 weeks pregnant today :) Baby girl should be joining us in less than 7 weeks! We are beyond excited to meet our newest baby girl. I had a sonogram today, but she wasn't into giving us much of a sneak peak.
She is about 3 lbs. 14 oz. and looking very healthy! She looks so good, Maternal-Fetal medicine signed off and we don't have to go there anymore-yay! We have A LOT to do in the next couple of weeks and we can't wait to meet you baby girl :)

Happy 2nd Birthday to Colson!
Our baby boy turned 2 today! I can not believe it's been 2 years since this little baby joined our family.....2 days late, but I barely remember than anymore ;)
After nap, Colson woke up a little grumpy again :( BUT, opening a couple of presents seemed to have put him in a little better mood!
Colson woke up a little grumpy this morning. He seems to have decided that he will no longer smile for the camera now that he's 2!
After a rough breakfast, we headed to church where everyone sang Happy Birthday to him :) Then we went to Aunt Cheryl's house for lunch. Colson had a little cupcake-cake to celebrate his birthday and he didn't put out the candle with his fingers this time!

| Train table from Mommy & Daddy! |
We went to dinner with Nana, Papa, Aunt Anne, Un Cha and Finny. We went to Kobe, not because Cole will eat the food, but because he loves the "fire show" while they cook :)
After dinner we had chocolate creme pie at Nana and Papa's house. He FINALLY blew out the candle on his pie!! Do you think I actually had my camera for it though? Of course not!
Colson-we love you so much. You are (one of) our miracle baby. You make everything that happened between having Alyvia and having you worth it-I wouldn't change it for the world, because I can't imagine my world without you in it. Happy 2nd birthday baby boy!

Choo-Choo, He's (almost) 2!
Today we had Colson's 2nd birthday party! He turns 2 next Sunday, but mommy had this whole weekend off, so the party was today :)
We went with a "choo-choo" theme because he LOVES trains.
We had a relatively small party with just our family-and it was perfect. Colson totally got into opening his presents this year and he absolutely loved all the "boy" toys!
I should have done the cake/happy birthday thing before the presents though, because I could hardly get him interested after he had all of his new trucks to play with! We did sing happy birthday and although he didn't exactly blow out his candles, he did get the fire out....with his fingers :) Silly boy just grabbed the top of the candle!
Colson, we love you sooooo much! You are a funny, loud, fickle, crazy, lovable little boy. We hope you had a fun 2nd birthday party, we love celebrating you!
